What: In the next week, three foothill farmers markets open in Placer County, on Sunday in Granite Bay and on Wednesday in Auburn and Foresthill.

When: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 28 in Granite Bay; Wednesdays through Aug. 13 in Foresthill and through Oct. 29 in Auburn.

Where: DeWitt Center, Bell Road and First Street, Auburn; Main Street, Foresthill

Fundraising dinner

What: The monthly Guest Chef Dinner at St. John’s Program for Real Change features chef Gabriel Glasier and pastry chef Kristel Flores of Enotria and Chef & Baker Events and Catering. Wine tasting will be by Miraflores Winery.

Tehama Trail Passport Weekend

What: The fourth year of this event provides a chance for a backcountry drive to learn about how your food grows, to sample produce and to meet farmers. Tickets include free sampling and a tote bag.
