Auburn bank recognized by district office of SBA

Auburn-based Community 1st Bank, which also has a Roseville branch and a loan office in Sacramento, has been named the “Rural/Community Lender of the Year” by the Sacramento district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

In presenting the award, the local SBA office said that Community 1st loan officials “have learned how to strike a delicate balance between innovative technological-based banking solutions, while maintaining a personal touch for their clients’ values.”

Community 1st provides SBA loans to assist a wide range of small business needs. SBA loans are government-backed loans that help businesses get started, maintain operations or expand.

In 2013, the bank reported profits of $1.9 million.
