Re "Veterans see red as Jane Fonda tapped to speak to UCLA grads" (SacBee.com, June 2): I am upset Jane Fonda will talk at UCLA. Here is my open letter to Dean Teri Schwartz who invited Hanoi Jane:
You have made a colossal mistake inviting Jane Fonda to do anything other than clean toilets. You are old enough to remember what was going on when she went to Hanoi and gave an enemy of the U.S. solace.
That was a watershed event that will be in her obituary. The Hanoi visit overshadows everything she will ever do. Her apologies are like one extra drop of water over Niagara Falls.
Rescind that invitation or risk veterans all over the country protesting.
You may be a great educator, but you are making a mistake inviting a traitor to do anything.
