A man in Isleton was forced Tuesday night to shoot two dogs that were attacking his neighbor.
The 44-year-old disabled neighbor was trying to break up a dog fight at his home when the two dogs turned on him, attacking his arms and legs. Hearing his neighbor’s cries for help, a man described as a fire department employees went to his aid, according to preliminary information from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
The responding neighbor yelled at the animals before one of the dogs charged. He shot at the animal and then the second dog charged and was also shot.
Several adults live at the home, along with 7-10 dogs, according to a sheriff’s department press release.
The man who was attacked by the dogs was taken to the hospital but his condition was not known. One of the dogs died.
