Yolo officials seek help finding dogs who bit two 7-year-olds

Published: Friday, Jun. 6, 2014 - 4:37 pm

Animal Services in Yolo County needs help to find dogs that bit two 7-year-old children in separate incidents.

The first incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. May 28 when a boy, who was with his grandmother on the south side of the entrance of North Davis Greenbelt, between Catalina and Corona drives, was bit by a Labrador retriever.

The dog was running loose in the area when the boy was bitten. The animal’s owner was not seen in the vicinity.

The second incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. Monday at Sandy Motley Park, Moore Boulevard and Rockwell Drive. A girl accompanied by her mother was bitten by a white dog described as either a pit bull or boxer.

The dog’s ears were erect, and the animal stood about 16 to 24 inches tall. The dog was with a man with short dark brown hair who wore glasses.

Anyone who has information about these incidents is asked to call Yolo County Animal Services at (530) 668-5287.
