Another 77 business and individual taxpayers - including two from Sacramento - were added to the state’s Top 500 list of sales and use tax delinquents, the state Board of Equalization reported.

The BOE, in its quarterly update, said the newly added 77 taxpayers owe a combined $45 million in sales and use taxes. That’s out of $491.2 million owed overall.

The two Sacramento taxpayers appearing on the list are Amin Nazih Maadarani, doing business as Amin’s Auto Sales on Fulton Avenue in Sacramento, owing more than $1.3 million; and Capitol Wellness Inc., doing business as the Capitol Wellness Collective medical marijuana dispensary in Sacramento, owing more than $650,000.

The BOE’s No. 1 tax debtor is Los Angeles resident Bruce McNall, a former racehorse owner and onetime Los Angeles Kings hockey team president, who is listed as owing the state more than $7.9 million.

The BOE launched its Top 500 list in 2007 to publicly goad delinquent taxpayers into paying their back taxes.
