Re "Key Iraq cities, refinery seized" (Page A1, June 12): It looks like everything our young men and woman fought and died for will be for naught.
The militants are basically walking through Iraq, taking it town by town. President Obama says he hasn't ruled anything out. If I were an Iraqi citizen, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the USA to come back and help. After all, we told Ukraine that if they disarmed we would help them out if trouble came their way, yet we did absolutely nothing when it did.
We are becoming a country that doesn't keep its word, and that's one slope we shouldn't start to slip down.
