Weekend in Sacramento expected to be warm

Friday’s high is expected to be 87 degrees in Sacramento as the Delta breeze continues to exert its cooling influence, but the weekend is predicted to about five degrees warmer.

Summer begins at 3:51 a.m. June 21 so this is the last spring weekend of the year. Saturday and Sunday promise to be good days for getting outside because the temperatures are not expected to be especially high.

The weekend high temperatures are expected to run 91-95 degrees in the valley, 83 to 91 in the foothills and 71 to 83 in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service. In addition, no triple digit temperatures are forecast for next week either.

The detailed, 7-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 60. North northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 92. North northwest wind 5 to 11 mph.

Saturday night: Clear, with a low around 58. West southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 92. South southwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 58.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 90.

Monday night: Clear, with a low around 58.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Tuesday night: Clear, with a low around 58.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 59.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 92.
