Drivers traveling through downtown and midtown are advised to expect congestion due to street closures as the city hosts both Sacramento Pride and the monthly Second Saturday art walk.

Capitol Mall will be closed to motor traffic from 3rd to 7th Street until 11 p.m. for Sacramento Pride. N Street will be closed from 3rd to 10th Street until 12:30 p.m. for the Pride Parade, said Sacramento Police Department spokeswoman Laura Peck.

From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., 20th Street will be closed between J and K Streets for Second Saturday festivities.

“Obviously we encourage folks to attend the festivals, but everyone should be aware of congested traffic in those areas,” Peck said.
