Re :Hot market for e-cigarettes attracting Big Tobacco" (Page A1, June 17): The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Big Tobacco is back in the addiction business, this time under the guise of e-cigarettes. How many kids are going to be hooked on flavored e-cigs and then start smoking the real thing? How many cigarette smokers are going to try to quit just to be addicted to both e-cigs and regular cigarettes thanks to Big Tobacco?

There are too many unanswered questions to allow the tobacco/e-cigarette companies access to the advertising media, glamorizing their products.

Is it going to take another 50 years and millions of deaths before the FDA regulates e-cigs? Just because Big Tobacco and the smaller e-cig companies say e-cigs are safer than regular cigarettes doesn't make it so. There is just too much at stake.
