The Granite Bay office of SolarCity, which bills itself as the nation’s largest solar power provider, houses its main inside sales team for company operations in 15 states. The local office also includes marketing staffers, many of whom came from Paramount Solar following its acquisition by SolarCity.

The San Mateo firm said it has been hiring more than 20 employees per month in Granite Bay since finalizing the $120 million acquisition of Roseville’s Paramount Solar in September.

SolarCity said it expects to move into larger office space in the area sometime this year and double the size of its current inside sales team of 200 working out of Granite Bay and Las Vegas over the next 18 months. The company said it currently employs more than 500 in the area, including those working at a 15,000-square-foot operations center in Sacramento.
