Mountain festival

Driven by the fun and community of mountain life, the Alpenglow Mountain Festival has returned to Tahoe City. Currently running, the festival offers recreation enthusiasts a bounty of organized, outdoor activities throughout the Lake Tahoe area. There will be guided hiking, yoga and running events every day through Saturday, plus athletic equipment demos, bird watching, wildflower excursions and other nature explorations. On Wednesday night, Alpenglow hosts a special screening of “Solstice,” a film about what it takes to compete in the world’s most prestigious 100-mile race – Western States 100. All ages and athletic abilities are encouraged to participate, and most events are free unless otherwise noted. Check out the full schedule at www.alpenglowsports.com.
