A low pressure system is expected to deliver increasing winds, cloudiness and cooler temperatures on Wednesday to the Sacramento region.
A high of 89 degrees is forecast for Wednesday, followed by a high of 86 degrees on Thursday. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph on Wednesday.
The weather starts to warm up on Friday when temperatures are forecast to creep into the 90s. The hottest weekend day is expected to be Sunday when the high is predicted to reach a 97.
Very hot conditions arrive early next week when triple-digit readings are expected in Sacramento. The high forecast for Monday: 103 degrees.
