Agents sweep through Stockton, booking 13 on drug charges

Agents searched 19 Stockton homes on Wednesday, arresting more than a dozen men and women on drug charges and confiscating thousands of marijuana plants.

Officers from the San Joaquin County Metropolitan Narcotics Task Force, assisted by other law enforcement agencies, executed the search warrants after a long investigation, according to a press release.

Agents confiscated 3,000 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, about 35 pounds of processed marijuana, $30,000, 4 grams of cocaine and a gram of methamphetamine.

A total of 13 people were arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation and related charges: Abigail Flores, 20, and Jesus Rodriguez, 28, both of McFarland, Kern County; Eric Soto, 23 of Imperial County; Ismael Rivera, 25, Omar Rios, 33, Christian Hernandez, 27, Miguel Tamayo-Beltran, 26, Osbaldo Rios, 37, Jessica Tamayo, 23, and Luis Roman, 27, all of Stockton; and three unidentified men.

Three minors were placed with Child Protective Services.
