Re "Audit slams California community college accreditation process." (Capitol & California, June 26): The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) claims the State Auditor's report that documented inconsistencies, lack of transparency and apparent favoritism by the ACCJC was "factually inaccurate" and "incomplete."

Ironically, ACCJC's refusal to provide access to information, grant noticeably more favorable assessments of its fellow commissioner's colleges and sanction its member colleges over four times more often than other national accrediting agencies reveals it's ACCJC who failed to meet basic standards of trustworthiness and integrity.
