Continued air flow inland from the Pacific is expected to keep temperatures a bit below normal Friday, with the high predicted to reach 88 degrees during the day before warming steadily over the weekend.
The clouds Sacramento has seen over the past two days are forecast to clear up by this afternoon, though a southwest wind tonight could bring gusts as fast as 24 mph tonight.
Over the weekend, temperatures will climb steadily. Saturday’s high is expected to be 90. Sunday’s is forecast to reach 97. The warming trend is predicted to peak Monday with a high of 101 degrees, 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.
Forecasters expect highs to stay at around 100 degrees through Tuesday before declining to the mid-90s by the middle of the week.
