10 pressing questions in the world of sports

• When the Kings selected Michigan guard Nik Stauskas with the No. 8 pick, how cool was it to hear comparisons to the Warriors’ Klay Thompson?

• No one questions Stauskas’ ability to shoot the ball, but can he do enough other things offensively to keep defenses honest?

• If Stauskas shoots as well as he did in college, will we see more smiles and fewer frowns from Kings center DeMarcus Cousins?

• Some Kings fans weren’t happy with the selection, but do the Kings really deserve the D+ grades given by CBS Sports and USA Today?

• Stauskas is 6-foot-6, so why did so many comments about his selection include a reference to Jimmer Fredette, who’s barely 6-2?

• When Commissioner Adam Silver announced Stauskas’ name, did you think: “What about Ben McLemore?”

• Minnesota selected UCLA guard Zach LaVine at No. 13; does that mean the Timberwolves have no intention of trading forward Kevin Love?

• Warriors fans would love to see Love in blue and gold, but is he worth Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and David Lee in return?

• LeBron James has tweeted about his love of Shabazz Napier’s game, but will his acquisition be enough to persuade James to return to the Miami Heat?

• If James and/or Carmelo Anthony join Dwight Howard and James Harden in Houston, will the Rockets be able to beat the Spurs?
