A motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening after drifting off River Road south of Courtland, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The motorcyclist was traveling behind a partner, who was also driving a motorcycle, north on River Road before drifting to the side of the roadway and hitting a raised concrete curb.
The driver was killed after hitting a tree on the side of the road and being ejected from the motorcycle, CHP officials said.
No one else was injured in the accident.
The name of the individual has not been released.
