Re "Nepotism allegations nag Senate" (Page A1, June 29): Wow, nepotism in the Capitol. I remember some years back there was a well-hidden DMV office in the Capitol that catered to assembly members, senators and staff, but was not made public until a reporter wrote about it. In a short time, the DMV office was moved to another state building and saved for the Capitol nobility for which it was intended; no shabby public people would darken its doors again. Our politicians have a knack for elitism. Nepotism has been banned by many corporate entities and organizations because, in most cases, it produces subpar employees. Perhaps that is the intention of the Capitol, to keep the state under-performing.
