West Yost Associates, the Davis-based consulting civil/environmental engineering firm, has acquired a Sebastopol company that specializes in capital improvement, water resource and redevelopment projects in Northern California.
Financial terms of the purchase of Environment, Community & Opportunity Network, or ECON for short, were not disclosed.
ECON clients include industry, local governments, redevelopment agencies, municipalities and other public-interest entities. Individual clients include the city of Sonoma, Calpine Corp. and the National Park Service.
“In joining West Yost, (ECON) will bolster our groundwater and water resource expertise and expand our service offerings in...database/geographic information system services, groundwater/soils testing, and watershed mapping and management,” said Charles Duncan, president of the Davis firm.
West Yost specializes in planning, design, construction management and environmental services for water, groundwater, wastewater and infrastructure projects for clients throughout California and Oregon. It has offices in Santa Rosa, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Fresno and Eugene, Ore.
