Placer massage parlor owners booked on pimping charges

The owners of two massage businesses have been arrested on suspicion of pimping in Placer County.

Xiu Jie “Julie” Feng, 48, and Phillip Hudson, 56, were arrested on susicion of pimping, pandering and conspiracy in connection with the ownership of Asian Massage Therapy & Foot in Auburn and Oriental Health Therapy in Nevada City, according to law enforcement authorities. Feng was also arrested on a human trafficking charge.

The two businesses had been under investigation for possible human trafficking, pimping and prostitution since January.

The investigation by Placer County and state authorities continues on the case, according to a press release from Auburn police.

Placer County law enforcement authorities said there is no widespread occurance of phony massage parlors operating in the county. A Placer County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman said authorities arrested a woman at a Penryn day spa for prostitution activity in 2007.

“It is quite unusual,” said sheriff’s spokeswoman Dena Erwin.
