Hosted by the Pacific Flyway Decoy Association, this family event features plenty of fine feathers – and carvings – as dozens of decoy makers show off their craft. Other wildlife artists also will present their work (much of it for sale) in this showcase devoted to birds of the Pacific flyway. Kids activities are offered, too.

• SPIRITUALISM AND SUFFRAGE

This huge outdoor marketplace has a new location, just south of Old Sacramento. It features more than 300 vendors selling antiques and collectibles including art, vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, housewares, lighting, military items and toys.

• IRIS SALE

In this one-day sale hosted by the Sacramento Iris Society, find rhizomes (roots) for hundreds of colorful (and drought-resistant) bearded iris including dwarfs, intermediates, tall and repeat bloomers – at just the perfect time to plant them. Lots of different colors and varieties will be available as well as advice on how to plant and get the most flowers. New this year is a labeling station that will allow buyers to prepare a permanent garden label for each iris purchased before they leave (and forget what they got).
