Re "Gaza death toll climbs as Israel, militants trade more rockets, airstrikes" (Page A1, July 14): Israel has the military might of $3.1 billion per year of American aid, 38,000 reserve members and the Iron Dome, but it is quickly losing the moral ground. The Israeli government has killed over 270 and wounded 1,280 plus Palestinians, most of whom are civilians, and they have suffered no losses.
When this latest crisis is over they will be building more settlements as the Palestinians try to defend their very existence. It is time to reassess our Middle East policies.
