What happened to the Rocklin Junior Thunder youth football president who was accused of embezzlement?

Stephanie Ann Abercrombie was arrested Jan. 17 following an investigation by Rocklin police into allegations that she had embezzled funds from the Rocklin Junior Thunder Football and Cheer Association.

According to a story in The Bee, she was accused of embezzling $20,000 in funds that had been entrusted to her for the daily operations of the nonprofit youth sports organization. She was arrested on suspicion of burglary, embezzlement and forgery.

Abercrombie’s case remains in Placer County Superior Court. According to online records, her next court date, for a status conference, is July 21.
