Citrus Heights City Hall mistake

Re "Citrus Heights project has planner's approval" (Our Region, July 11): Currently, City Hall, the police department, community center and post office are all connected. Moving the City Hall across town is ridiculous. Let Dignity Health build on the Antelope site or on one of several large vacated retail sites.

There are also two other major concerns. First, why do the Citrus Heights City Council and Planners feel their point of view is the only one to be considered? They are here to serve the community, not themselves. After all, this isn't Sacramento, where the City Council decided to mortgage parking revenue for 35 years without a public vote. This project needs to be voted on by the residents of Citrus Heights.

Second, to move City Hall and enter into a relationship with a business would seem to be a conflict of interest, or at best and unfair advantage to Dignity Health over other such organizations.
