Walmart plans to hire 300 employees for its new store opening this fall on Roseville's Lead Hill Road.

A hiring center has opened at 106 North Sunrise, Suite C3, in Roseville. Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Prospective employees can also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

Under a special Walmart program, the retailer says it will offer a job to any veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months and meets Walmart's standard hiring criteria. Veterans can apply at http://walmartcareerswithamission.com.

Most of the newly hired employees will start work in September.

The Lead Hill Road location, near the Roseville AutoMall, was already a Walmart but closed several months ago for remodeling. It will become a Supercenter when it reopens.
