Temperatures in the 90s forecast for Sacramento

Pleasant weather over the weekend is forecast for the Sacramento region as the area settles into a stretch of days in the low 90s.

After a high of 87 on Thursday the National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 90 for Friday. The weekend looks about the same: 93 predicted for Saturday and 90 on Sunday.

The moderate weather, especially during the night, is primarily the result of the breezes blowing from the Bay area through the Delta. Tonight gusts may get as high as 20 mph in Sacramento.

The detailed, 7-day forecast from the NWS for the Sacramento region:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. South southwest wind around 7 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. South wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 93. South wind around 7 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind around 9 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. South southwest wind around 10 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 93.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 94.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 96.
