Published: Friday, Jul. 18, 2014 - 6:21 pm

A man accused of sexually assaulting an adult on the campus of an Antelope-area school in 2012 has been found guilty by a Sacramento County jury.

Demarea Brown, 22, was convicted Friday of two counts of rape, one count of forcible oral copulation and one count of kidnapping for the purposes of accomplishing rape, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release.

In November 2012, Brown encountered a woman walking on the grounds of a middle school after dark, punched her in the face and knocked her to the grounds. He then forced her to a secluded location on the school grounds, away from security cameras, and sexually assaulted her.

Brown is to be sentenced Sept. 12 before Sacramento Superior Court Judge Shelleyanne Chang.
