Misplaced priorities on front page

Re "Roots run deep for 49ers' fierce wide receiver" (Page A1, July 20): With an immigration crisis, Israel and Palestine on the brink of all-out war, a California drought of epic proportions , the IRS scandal and much, much more, The Bee chose to run a front-page article ( with two additional pages) about a football player?

I hardly need front-page articles about a millionaire regardless of his background. And if it must be a human interest story on the front page, at least make it relevant with a story about a Northern Californian.
