Kings rally late to claim Summer League Championship

Ray McCallum scored a game-high 29 points as the Kings rallied from down eight in the fourth quarter for a 77-68 win to claim the championship game of the 2014 NBA Summer League.

Ben McLemore struggled shooting most of the game, but scored seven of his nine points in the fourth quarter to help the Kings complete the comeback after the Kings fell behind 58-50 with 7:20 to play.

McCallum had nine points in the fourth and was named championship game Most Valuable Player.

The Kings outscored the Rockets (5-3) 13-3 over the final 2:53.

The Kings (6-1) won six games in a row after losing their opener in summer league play.

Ra’shad James added 12 points off the bench.

Nick Johnson led Houston with 17 points.
