The Tahoe Rim Trail Association seeks up to 100 volunteers to interview trail users Saturday as part of an effort to improve alternative modes of transportation to trailheads.
The association has received an “On Your Way” grant from the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency to help determine the number and types of users on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Volunteers are needed at all trailheads around the Tahoe Basin to ask questions of hikers, bikers and equestrians to glean information about those using the trail.
The trail user survey and count is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all Tahoe Rim Trail trailheads. Volunteers can choose locations and times, helping out for a few hours or all day.
