The gross value of Yuba County’s agricultural production for 2013 set another record at nearly $235 million, a gain of almost 9 percent over the previous year, according to a new report released by Louie Mendoza, the county’s agricultural commissioner.
Yuba County has set records three of the past four years.
Overall gross value of Yuba County agriculture production last year totaled nearly $235 million, the report said. In 2013, walnuts generated more than $74 million in gross value and rice came in at $62 million.
The report also noted that Yuba County’s agriculture industry now exports products to 33 countries.
