Just like the Mötley Crüe hit song declared, the band isn’t going away mad. They’re just going away.

Mötley Crüe says farewell to Sacramento on July 29 as part its “The Final Tour,” a last string of shows before the band rides off into the sunset of retirement. Sure, we’ve heard similar pronouncements in the past, whether it was “farewell” tours from KISS, The Who and Cher, which turned out to be goodbyes for now, but not for good.

But Mötley Crüe means it, man. The band members – Vince Neil (vocals), Tommy Lee (drums), Nikki Sixx (bass) and Mick Mars (guitar) – signed a contract stating the group will cease touring under the Mötley Crüe name at the end of 2015.

It’s a small miracle that Mötley Crüe’s even made it this far. The band’s three decades in rock ’n’ roll have been marked by the near-fatal drug overdose by Sixx, car crashes, arrests, band infighting, chronic arthritis of the spine in Mars and any number of self-destructive behaviors.

Yet the hits kept coming, through such hard rock hit albums as “Shout at the Devil,” “Theatre of Pain” and “Dr. Feelgood.”

So, how well do you think you know the Crüe? We’ve put together a series of true-or-false questions to test your knowledge of the band and its various high jinks. And now, prepare to take our Mötley Qüiz.
