A Sacramento man faces charges of receipt and distribution of child pornography after officers recovered a computer with pornographic videos from his home.
Michael Bailey, 59, was charged Thursday and is in custody. He was arrested in July, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
This case was part of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sacramento Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and is linked to a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
If convicted, Bailey faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum statutory penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
