Michael Crabtree may miss as many as two weeks with a minor injury, Jim Harbaugh said.

Harbaugh gives injury updates for Crabtree, Lattimore, others

The 49ers have reached the stage of training camp at which players start leaving the practice field for the trainer’s table. Jim Harbaugh gave an update on several of them this morning.

* He said veteran receivers Michael Crabtree and Brandon Lloyd could miss one or two weeks with injuries that Harbaugh didn’t seemed overly concerned about. He did say that Crabtree’s ailment did not involve either his Achilles’ tendon or his foot, both of which have been issues in the past.

* Running back Marcus Lattimore (knee) still hasn’t reached the point at which the 49ers will remove him from the non-football injury list. Asked if the running back would soon reach a point at which he wouldn’t be available for the preseason, Harbaugh reiterated that the team was “going to do best for him.” Said Harbaugh: “Marcus is going to be part of this team in some form or fashion.”

* Harbaugh said he held Vernon Davis, who suffered a hamstring strain that kept him out of two games last season, from team drills on Thursday because the tight end “wasn’t loosening up” the way he would have liked. That is, it was a precaution to avoid a more serious muscle pull.

* Inside linebacker Nick Moody “felt something” during Thursday’s practice, which allowed Shayne Skov to take most of the repetitions with the second-team defense. Moody was holding his left hamstring late in practice. Harbaugh said Moody felt like he could try to practice today. “If not, he could be back in a day or two,” Harbaugh said.

* Tight end Garrett Celek has a “disk issue” in his back that requires time to settle down. Derek Carrier has been filling Celek’s usual role.

* Like Thursday, rookie center Marcus Martin (ankle) will go through individual drills today, Harbaugh said, and likely will resume practicing in full shortly thereafter.

The 49ers will hold a rare 5 p.m. practice today.
