Temperatures are expected to be mild Monday and Tuesday in Sacramento with daytime highs in the 70s and 80s.
The high today is predicted to come in at 79 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There is even a chance that a few sprinkles could fall in Sacramento, spoiling weekend car washes.
The cause behind the monsoonal moisture and the cooler, cloudy conditions is a low pressure system moving northward into the area. Tonights slumber could be interrupted by the roll of thunder from storms after 11 p.m.
The weather returns to the usual later this week with clear skies and hot temperatures forecast from Wednesday through the weekend. The 7-day forecast for the Sacramento region from the NWS:
