What: Thirty venues will be a part of August’s free evening of art viewing and artists’ receptions at galleries and businesses in Davis. Among the galleries, restaurants and co-ops will be two that are new to the monthly event: Café 110 and Putah Creek Winery.

Music festival

Country in the Park

What: KNCI organizes its Country in the Park 2014 daylong event with Billing Currington, Love and Theft, Austin Webb and others. New this year is a pre-party on the concert grounds featuring local bands, barbecue and vendors.

When: Pre-party at noon, concert 4:45 p.m.

Where: Miller Lite Grandstands, Cal Expo

Cost: $25 general admission

Car cruise and show

A parade of classic vehicles

What: Classic vehicles will assemble and then parade colorfully to Fulton Avenue as part of the sixth annual California Automobile Museum Car Cruise. At the destination, an expected 400 autos will be on view. The event includes live music, food trucks and beverage sales.

When: 4 p.m. parade, 5-8 p.m. display

Where: Assembling at CSU Sacramento, parading toward Fulton, vehicles on display on Fulton between El Camino and Marconi avenues.

Cost: Free for spectators

Follow the smell of teriyaki

What: You’ve waited all year for the return of the popular Sacramento Buddhist Church’s Japanese Food and Cultural Bazaar, and that weekend has arrived. Find Japanese foods made on the premises as well as a variety of entertainment, including drummers, singers and folk dancers.
