A Roseville development company said Friday it has bought land in Granite Bay for a 60-bed “memory care” facility.

Construction on SummerPlace Living at Granite Bay is expected to begin in mid-2015, said FCM Capital Partners of Roseville. The building will be at the corner of Eureka and Barton roads.

The facility is designed for patients with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

The company plans to begin construction later this year on a previously-announced SummerPlace memory care facility in Carmichael.

“Due to the expanding need for specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care, we saw a need to expand this specific part of our business more rpaidly,” said Chris Miller, FCM’s president, in a press release.
