Cool temperatures in Sacramento for the weekend

A weak onshore flow is bringing cool temperatures to the Sacramento region.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high temperature of 88 degrees on Saturday and 89 degrees on Sunday. Average temperatures for this time of year hover in the low 90s, according to weather service forecaster Karl Swanberg.

“The cooler temperatures are expected to continue until Monday,” he said.

Here’s the seven-day forecast:

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 88. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Saturday night: Clear, with a low around 61. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south southeast after midnight.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 89. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Sunday night: Clear, with a low around 61. South southeast wind around 8 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind around 9 mph.

Monday night: Clear, with a low around 61.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Tuesday night: Clear, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Wednesday night: Clear, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 91.
