Amazon.com is looking to fill more than 200 full-time positions at its sprawling, 1.2-million-square-foot distribution center in Tracy.

The online selling giant said the hiring effort is necessary to meet growing customer demand.

Amazon has been on a growth track in California for the past two years. It now has operations in nearly 5 million square feet of space at its centers in Tracy, Patterson, San Bernardino and Moreno Valley. It also recently announced the lease of a fifth distribution center in Redlands.

The company said new hires are immediately eligible for benefits that include health insurance, a 401(k) program, company stock awards and other incentives.

Candidates interested in jobs at the Tracy center can apply at workatamazonfulfillment.com or call (866) 437-9078.
