CHICAGO _The White Sox brought a season-high seven-game losing streak into Wednesday's game against Cleveland, and faced one of the best pitchers in the league in the Indians' Corey Kluber. They won 3-2 on Jose Abreu's seventh inning, RBI single.

At the plate: Abreu had two RBIs, his 95th and 96th of the season.

On the mound: Hector Noesi allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings and earned his eighth win.

The number: 36. The Sox have lost 36 games with a lead, including five straight games.

The quote: Robin Ventura on the Sox's defensive play: "There's frustration to it. You want to be better at it. But by no means would I expect we're going to win Gold Gloves in the spots you're talking about. That's part of who we are in certain areas and you have to wear those lumps. But if you get somebody you feel is playing below their abilities then that's definitely an issue. You get frustrated with it, I get that. But you still have to work at it and try and get better at it."
