Sacramento International Airport and law enforcement officials are looking for the driver of a dark sedan that knocked down a perimeter fence last weekend and drove onto the north end of the airfield before turning around an driving away.
The incident, which took place at 10:47 p.m. Sunday, did not disrupt air service, airport spokeswoman Laurie Slothower said. The vehicle was on airport property for about two minutes, and did not reach the runways or taxiways.
“An employee called the incident in to staff,” she said. “We have video of the car, but were not able to discern the license plate.”
The incident remains under investigation, Slothower said. “Any time you have a car where it is not supposed to be on airport property, you’d like to know more. We are working with law enforcement to identify the driver.”
