Fireworks-related incidents keep Elk Grove authorities busy

It was a busy Fourth of July holiday weekend for Elk Grove fire and law enforcement agencies. According to a news release, they responded to 135 fireworks-related incidents, seized about 300 pounds of illegal fireworks, put out five fireworks-related fires, arrested a man on suspicion of possessing illegal fireworks and cited three juveniles for allegedly setting a Dumpster fire.
