Book sale days extended

Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter has extended its used-book sale on designated days through Aug. 31.
The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday to Monday at 835 Twelve Bridges Drive, Suite 95, Lincoln.
Hardcover books are priced at $1 each and paperbacks at 50 cents each.
DVDs, compact discs, audio books and VHS cassette tapes also are offered at bargain prices, said Rosemary Frieborn of the Friends group.
Anyone interested in making a tax-deductible book donation can drop off items at the site anytime before the end of the sale, Frieborn said.
All proceeds benefit the Friends of Placer County Animal Center.
