The body of a woman who fled from a pursuing officer and drove, then swam, into Boca Reservoir on Wednesday night was recovered by divers Friday afternoon.
Nevada County Sheriff's Lt. John Kropp said divers found the body 200 feet from shore about 12:45 p.m. Friday.
Her identity will be released after an autopsy Monday and notification of her family, he said.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, the woman drove down a steep, boulder-strewn hillside into the lake while being pursued by a sheriff's deputy who had responded to a call from Union Pacific Railroad.
Train officials said a car had parked on the tracks at Boca crossing, then sped away at the last moment, causing a train to make an emergency stop, said Undersheriff Rich Kimball.
