Notes: Strong pitching has been a hallmark of the River Cats, and this season has been no exception. Sacramento entered the game with the second-lowest ERA in the Pacific Coast League. Today's starter, Gonzalez, is third in the PCL in strikeouts with 83.
• The River Cats added A's outfielder Chris Denorfia to their active roster. Denorfia is on a rehabilitation assignment for tightness in his lower back. He batted .260 in 25 games for the A's this season.
