The all-volunteer Sacramento Golf Council is looking for a few more members and a little love from the city and county courses at which it annually operates more than 20 amateur tournaments.
Aaron Heinz, the golfer deemed most embarrassing to play alongside by area players and a vote of Bee readers, has been given his third lesson by Empire Ranch teaching pro Brett Taylor. Below is Taylor's synopsis of his third session with Heinz. To see a video of Heinz's first lesson, go to http://videos.sacbee.com.
To appear in the paper, a hole in one must be faxed to The Bee from the golf course at which it was made. The golf course must submit the hole in one on the course's official stationery at (916) 326-5503.

There are plenty of known players trying to gain their 2009 PGA Tour cards at PGA West this week. Among them are Ricky Barnes, Notah Begay III, 1996 PGA Champion Mark Brooks, Robert Gamez, Jason Gore, John Huston, Bob May and Chris Riley.
