Friends of Travel in Sacramento has planned an Aug. 6 excursion to San Francisco to visit the Dale Chihuly glass art exhibitions at the DeYoung Museum and the Palace of the Legion of Honor. Music fest at Tahoe

The Sacramento Opera is organizing an Aug. 9 bus trip to hear the final concert of the Lake Tahoe Music Festival. The program at Homewood Mountain Resort features Sacramento Opera artistic director Timm Rolek conducting the Reno Philharmonic. The $65.50 cost includes transportation and general-admission seating.
