    Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Sacramento chapter. The Edible Crawl for a Cure will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and will include more than a dozen downtown and midtown microbreweries, wine bars, restaurants and coffeehouses. Festivities will include the Sacred City Roller Derby Girls and chalk art by Chalk It Up to Sacramento. The Clarion Mansion Inn will offer discounts on overnight stays. Tickets are $30. What: Masked Ball on the Boulevard, presented by the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra.

When and where: Oct. 30 at the Greens Hotel, 1700 Del Paso Blvd.; 7 p.m. to midnight; $125 per person, $100 each for groups of 10; call (916) 732-9045 or visit www.sacphil.org. The first 200 to purchase tickets will receive a celebrity-style swag bag.

A big night: Food from the Supper Club, Enotria, Fran's Cafe and more; hosted bars, a costume contest, Mysterious Masqueraders, live music and an auction, including a chance to conduct the Philharmonic in concert.

Dress-up: Powdered wigs and ball gowns to fantasy outfits, attendees are encouraged to dress the part. For mask and makeup assistance, contact The District Spy and Boutique, (916) 921-7400. A $500 cash prize awarded for the best ensemble.

Entertainment: The Philharmonic, the Delta Wind Quartet, the Madrone Trio, a Latin/salsa band, the Moulin Rouge cabaret performers and more.
