As we wait for Sunday's AFC and NFC championship games, we have a quandary: What type of Super Bowl do you want?
Do you want a high-scoring game with circus catches and long post routes? Then you should root for the Ravens and Cardinals.
Or do you want a smash-mouth game that the football novice might find boring after the third McDonald's commercial? Then you should root for the Steelers and Eagles.
While the Cardinals and the Eagles have been reborn in the playoffs, there's no changing their wings. The Cardinals, who had the NFL's third-highest scoring offense, have become more balanced but still like to air it out. The Eagles play gritty run-oriented football.
In the AFC, don't be fooled by the 35 points the Steelers scored against the Chargers. They scored 23 points or more four times. And the Ravens have become offensive juggernauts, scoring at least 27 points nine times this season.
Which type of game do you want? I'll take the Cardinals-Ravens, because I want the Super Bowl to be more thrilling than Bruce Springsteen's halftime show.
